Roots to Food
Darren Tinkler the founder of Roots to Food in conjunction with TCS, our catering company, attends Fawkham to work with our children in a series of workshops across both Key Stages.
These immersive and hands-on food workshops encourage children to develop an interest and understanding of healthy and nutritious meals. By constructing, from scratch, a balanced dish in small groups, pupils apply their skills to prepare, cook and present the dishes in addition to sampling what they have made. Throughout the session children are taught how to apply the principles of good food safety and hygiene.
